How it worksA plasma approaching a strong magnetic field will be repelled, similar to light hitting a mirror. By energizing a plasma between two superconducting magnets it will remain confined as it bounces between them. By rotating the plasma to supersonic velocities, the effectiveness of the confinement is greatly increased while stabilizing the plasma. Our design aims to deliver a simple magnetic confinement configuration that can scale to a viable fusion power source at a fraction of the cost of competing technologies.
